Sun Salutation A

Note that this is not how I normally do my sun salutations. If I did, I'll be knackered by the time I reach Sun Salutation B! Anyway, just a little fun for the camera.

  1. Nice man...I've got the jump forward but come down a little faster and harder than you. It's still light, but yours is truly floating. What's the trick on the hovering of the feet?--the angle of the arms forward and the knees into the chest?

  2. Thanks, Craig. For me, my initial thought is getting the weight over my hands. Then I think of lifting and concaving the sternum. It's still a work in progress, but once the weight is forward enough, I can find a moment of balance. That's when I locked in the concaveness of the body and resist the hips from coming down. Does that make sense? Feel free to ask more if you need to - I'll do my best to help. I must add, though, I'm not a teacher and I'm just relaying my own experiences.

By the way, I went to your blog and really enjoyed your posts. Inspiring to read such dedication to the practice and how it has impacted your life off the mat.

  3. Do you know where Craig's blog has gone?
Missing his daily posts - was a great motivation for me.

  4. I too am in the dark. Seemed like his blog was deleted. Hope it is just temporary.
